Get to know the Smyrna UCC Church staff

Rev. Jennifer Garrison, Minister

Rev. Jennifer graduated from the Seattle University's School of Theology and Ministry in 2004 while in her mid 30's.  She has served churches in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA.  

 

She is a spiritual director and a writer.  We is a contributer to the UCC's Daily Devotional which is received monthly by more that 30,000 readers.

 

She is also the copywriter for the national church's bulletin service.

Moderator

Joel Daniels

Joel has retired from a career in education. He leads our church meetings. He is also the church organist.

Moderator-Elect

Carl Menkel

Cark is a active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, serving the local community. He will be the next moderator when Joel's term ends.

Treasurer

Barbara Daniels

 Barbara retired from many years in the insurance finance sector. 

Organist/Pianist

Joel Daniels

Joel has been organist at Smyrna since 1957.  He has led the adult choir and promotes our music ministry in many ways.  He retired after many years of teaching in the high school.

Music Leader/Soloist

Christrine Cline

Christine's beautiful soprano voice has graced our church for many years.  Christine retired from the service industry and lives with her husband on the family farm near Smyrna.

The choir director works with the music team to provide weekly music for our worship service.

Secretary/Editor

Jeannie Rogers

Jeannie is our long time secretary.  She is also the editor of our monthly newsletter, The Behold!.  She works in our local library.

Assistant Editor

Elaine Daniels

Elaine assist our editor in publishing the monthly newsletter.  She also manages the church calendar.  Elaine retired from many years in the field of education.

Office Admin

Leo Aguilar

Leo is the Office Admin Smyrna Church.  She also manages the use and rental of church facilities, Friendship Hall and our commercial kitchen.

Landscape/Grounds

Mary Namit

Mary Namit leads the landscaping effort at Smyrna.  Her background is in wildlife preservation and education.

Isidro and Ramon keep the grass mowed and trimmed.

Audio Tech

Dave Clites

Dave manages our sound system.  He brings many years of technical experience, especially with audio.

Paul Yoder

Paul manages the videography for Smyrna.  Paul and his wife own and run a successfuly retail operation in our area.

Pat Bryant

Pat assist with the videography of Smyrna's Worship Services.

Video Editor

Nancy Bryant

Nancy edits the publishes the weekly Smyrna Worship Services on YouTube.

Webmaster

Tom Daniels

Tom manages the church website.  He is a long time member of Smyrna.  He retired from a long career in IT.
