The Oregon Health Plan, often described as "OHP", is Oregon's health insurance program for lower-income adults and families. The following website provides helpful links, to learn about, apply for, use, manage, or renew health care services:  Oregon Health Plan.

Northwest Senior and Disability Services supports residents of Clatsop, Marion, Polk, Tillamook, and Yamhill counties in Oregon who are living with disability, providing financial resources, in-home assistance, caregiving, food support, and health/wellness programs.  See their website at https://nwsds.org/#services to learn more.

Dementia is a group of complex medical conditions that variously affect reasoning, memory, language skills, motor abilities, social/emotional functioning, and behavior.  It is not a normal part of aging, though most types of dementia are more common in older people. Alzheimer's Disorder is one of the more common types, but dementia can also result from strokes, genetic disorders, recurrent head injuries, and a variety of other factors.  For more information, see the following National Institute on Aging website: What is Dementia?

Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) is branch of the Oregon Department of Health and Human Services that is dedicated to helping older Americans learn about and access Medicare.  Certified Medicare Counselors are available to answer questions, provide unbiased information about the various plan options, and help new recipients determine whether they qualify for low-income support under the Oregon Health Plan.  Licensed Medicare Agents are also available to help with actual enrollment.  Community events and presentations are also provided, along with links to the latest official Medicare documents.
