James Recycling is a nonprofit organization, located in Portland, that recycles a variety of plastics and electronics.  Its founder is an adult living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the company intentionally employs adults with developmental disabilities.   See https://jshrecycling.com/about/ to learn more about which materials are accepted and how to drop them off.

Retold Recycling began in 2020, and is dedicated to keeping textiles out of landfills.  By purchasing bags with prepaid postage labels and mailing your used clothing, household linens, and fabric scraps to Retold, you can help make that happen!  Their recycling centers carefully sort the material they receive by fabric type and quality, and redirect each item to thrift stores (both here and abroad) for resale, or in the case of no longer usable clothing, linens, or fabric scraps, to downcycling centers, where the material is transformed into fiberfill, insulation, or industrial rags.  Go to https://www.retoldrecycling.com to learn more!

Bottle Drop provides multiple ways to redeem and recycle the several types of containers that can be returned for deposit refunds, in the state of Oregon.  See https://bottledrop.com for more information about how and where to redeem your beverage bottles and cans.

Far West Recycling has three locations in the greater Portland area that offer multiple options for managing the tougher recycling tasks: Electronics, scrap metal, books, household appliances, plastics, etc.  See https://farwestrecycling.com to learn more.
